ONTARIO REIGN OF THE INLAND EMPIRE
The Ontario Reign has become the first ever professional hockey team to call the city of Ontario home. An affiliate of the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, the Reign are members of the twenty four team ECHL, regarded as the premier AA professional hockey league in North America. The name Reign conjures up the image of strength, size, longevity and royalty incorporating the location of Ontario in a region known as the Inland Empire.
"We were very excited when we came across this name because it makes sense for so many reasons", said Justin Kemp, Executive Vice President of Business Operations for the new Ontario Reign. "We will in essence be ’reigning’ an empire, led by our affiliate, the ’Kings’. Home to this new team will be Citizens Business Bank Arena, located in Ontario California.
The Reign features tomorrow’s NHL stars, providing hard hitting, high scoring, and non-stop excitement at the new world class Citizens Business Bank Arena.
